Darkmoon started as the brainchild of Christoffer Wetterström in late 1999. The intension where never for it to be more than a solo project, but as the time went on and the songbank started to grow he got more and more commets from his friends that this was really the beginning of something.

In August 2001 he released a demo with the name Campfire Stories. Soon after that Niklas Jägstrand, Robin Holmgren, Tomas Schedwin and Emil Holmgren joined Darkmoon and a band was evolving from the project.

Infor a planed gig in December 2001, Christoffer recorded a re-release of Campfire Stories as a promotion demo to sell on the gig. Allthou this gig where never played they still did release the new demo under the name Midwinter Sagas.

Around January 2002 there was a robery in Darkmoons reahearsalroom. Allmost everything got stolen and the ones i charge of the rehearsalroom chose to close it down. This meant that Darkmoon wouldn't be able to rehearse. As a temporary solution they started to rehearse in Christoffer's basement. It was a bad idea thou. Alot of complaints came from the neighbours and they stoped rehersing there.

The time went on and Christoffer went on writing songs but the band still didn't rehearse. In the late 2002, Darkmoon got a new reahersalroom. Around that time Robin and Emil left us due to lack of intrest and Niklas left Darkmoon due to the same reason. Due to this, a lineup change had to be done. Tomas started working the bas instead of guitar and Christian joind the band on drums. Johan joined the band on keyboards but where kicked quite soon becouse he didn't show up on the reahearsals. Then Darkmoon recruted Erik on guitar and Karin on Keyboard.

On May 3rd 2003, Darkmoon played their last gig with Tomas and Christian. Soon after that, on May 6th, Darkmoon recruted Alex Ånfalk to the basduties but they are still in search for a drummer...

During the summer of 2003 there where time for auditions and Darkmoon fell right away for a english guy caled Lee Prout. In the first half of august it was official, Darkmoon was a full band agin. They emedialty started to rehearse infor a gig with Narnia and infor the studio session that the band already had started to record the new CD.
